| Dictator I took over
the world today.
I answered only to myself,
Spoke only to those I chose,
Did only the things I wanted to do.
The world's pain was petty and arrogant,
I chose to ignore it.
I slept until I woke,
I wandered until I stopped.
Only one voice played over & over in my head
It was my own.
I pondered whether I should let others join my world
But that would require respect.
I find it increasingly hard to believe in respect.
So, just for today I left respect behind.
I took over the world and answered only to myself.
