| Pinball There is hyper live energy in the air.
Electric intensity as the pieces connect and start to fit together.
In this world of chaos,
Magic is the moment when the one coin appears
That will turn on the pinball machine long silent in the corner.
Balls rolling,
Bumper jazzing through the field of play.
I'm looking at you
and you at me
and it just seems like the right thing to do.
Remaining solid in myself
as worlds light up and bells go off.
It can be such a fun world when the juggling works for a while.
Eventually the gutterball slides out the door
and it is quiet again.
Time to start over and gather energy for the next round.
But the more times hope shoots up to the top to start the game
There are even more possibilities.
A little foresight,
Better understanding,
and luck
Make the excitement last longer.
The more the ball bounces through the world,
the greater the discoveries.
Learning to relax and give patient timing
Make the lessons easier to learn
and everything lasts a little longer.
Sometimes the frustration builds so high
That time off is required to regrip and remember,
Chance will always have more control than will.
Building skill and knowledge is required
to get past the over emotional rampages.
Really it's best when it's fun.
Letting go enough to let the game play out
In its own direction.
I don't know when I'll see you again,
but I know the pinball game is waiting for me.
I'll shoot hope up that aisle as long as I'm able
and learn to relax and enjoy what each round brings.
