I'm running late. So i really don't have time to type much of anything. It will be a rather busy day. I'll have to say hello from Chicago when i get there either tonight or tomorrow morning.~w

Okay, it has been determined that actually the seller's agent would like to be done with this whole sale business as fast as possible because he's tired of dealing with the seller. This morning has already been full of odd phone calls. I am sure though that it will all work out for the best in the end. It's a matter of turning stumbling blocks into opportunities. So it's possible that the grand piano will have to move out of the house a week before closing...then why not put the new floor down before it's moved back in the house? You get the idea. Lemons to lemonade, that sort of thing. However, there is no rushing banks and lenders so it will just have to happen in the original time allotted rather than faster.
In the meantime...the first graders were a hoot yesterday!! Lots of fun and silliness. The highlight was when one class decided they needed to act like teenagers in their poem. It was very funny.~w

We really begin to get things moving this morning with the first graders. I think this is the first time i've ever put together a show with just first graders. It will prove to be wacky i'm sure. Unfortunately, they are awake and at school very early in the morning, so i have to leave momentarily to meet them.
The whole housing thing is proving to be more complicated that it should be since apparently the seller and his agent have no desire to help move things along and make it easier. The seller would rather spend time posting notices telling his tenant to "get out" 10 days before it becomes mine and i want him living there. Grr.~w

Today we start the residency, but it's sort of a "light" day. In fact we only have one show to do this afternoon. That means i still will probably need to spend some time in the office since there are plenty of things there that need doing. Harumph. It's too beautiful outside to sit in a box. ~w

Somehow i seem to have overslept again. I guess i'm just running late the last day i can for the next couple of weeks. It's spring though, flowers are blooming, birds are singing and yesterday i had the doors open to let in the fresh warm air.~w

A couple websites have been passed my way in the last couple of days. The first is a friend's first stages at building something new at Vote Progressive. The second is a more fully fleged site dedicated to sharing true stories of war in hopes to "disarm the barricades of the heart" at Eleventh Hour Stories. I offer them up for your perusal.
In my own heart, i find that i am facing the fear of stepping out of my safety zone to start this new project. My hope is to build a place that will be a safe haven for creativity and expression. A place for folks to get away from the busy-ness of selling what they do and have time to recharge their batteries and just do what they do. However, the first step is to make peace in my own heart and believe that it is possible. In order for my environment to be peaceful, i must be the center of that peace. Nobody can make that happen for me.~w
