I must admit that i had a wacky Friday the 13th. Not so much bad as chaotic. After spending the morning with music, i went into the fray of work where i trained a new office employee, moved bookshelves to allow a new door to be opened into our new expanded office space, made contract and check calls, fixed the down internet system, and a billion other little things until actors swooped in and out of the office and then the place was suddenly quiet at 5pm. Not ready for a quiet evening i received a phone call that turned into an adventure to Charlotte to hear a band play music along the lines of that which started my day. Today is for catching up with myself now that i've made it home again. Adventure is a good cure for stress and chaos, but today requires a bit of organization of all the stuff left behind in the week...like laundry.~w

I've been listening to music all morning...Etta James singing Someone to Watch Over Me, Nat King Cole singing Stardust, Fats Waller's Got Rhythm and on and on until i'm later than i intended to be getting to work. I must do that now...~w

Now that i've made it back to Asheville...i'm exhausted. Still there is more work to be done, so i suppose i should go to do it. Yesterday went very well and is a load off my mind now that i feel like that team is pretty well trained. My birthday and christmas are sneaking up on me faster than i'd like to think though. Everyone in my family may just get Valentine's gifts instead. All i really want to do right now is curl up with a good book and some nice hot tea and forget about the world for a day.~w

Yesterday's drive was quite enjoyable. I even did a little Christmas shopping on the way. This morning due to a two-hour delay because of icy conditions has been rather leisurely for a change. It's actually quite nice to have the time since we'll still be done at the same time even though the show is an hour and a half later. Works for me. Today i'm training the new team to do classroom workshops with real live kids. It's possible (but don't hold your breath) that i may travel less over the next few months once this training is done. I can only hope. Then maybe i can work on having a life again.~w

Once again i'm packed and ready to go. I seem to be rather good at this, despite the fact that i don't always find it fun. Although on a day like today driving may be just the thing i need. Some people find peace by going to church or sitting cross legged on the floor, but a good long drive will sort out my head like nothing else. Music is the key. Lots of music to clear the cobwebs outta my head. So with that...i've got some brain dusting to do.~w

Anyone want to buy my old laptop? I was looking around the house for ways to ease my cash crunch and realized i still have my old laptop sitting here that's probably worth something. It's a Dell 3500 Inspiron with a Celeron 233mhz processor 4g hard drive and 128mb of ram if i remember correctly. Sometimes it's fan runs a bit noisy and the floppy drive no longer works, but it's loaded with Windows 98, Office 2000, NortonSystemWorks and some other programs that you can have the cd-roms to go with it.
In other news...i need to go audit two shows from my new team and then get as much office work caught up as i can before driving up to West Virginia tomorrow where i will meet them again. There just wasn't time to teach them everything in a week that they need to know, so i'm going to have to show them how to do workshops with real kids on Wednesday. Then...i'll come home, hopefully for a while.~w

The Feast went splendidly yesterday thanks to a hard working crew that put their love and sweat into it to make it happen. I am amazed at how much was accomplished. I think we even raised some funds...which is good for a fundraiser.
Today i'm doing as little as possible. I have a full week of work looming ahead of me and i'm trying to catch a break while i can. Yes, the leaves need raking and such, but i think the only thing i may accomplish is a little prep work for the holidays that are drawing close. I need to finish my list twice checked and then get busy on putting it to use.~w
