I'm a little busy today...i'll have to get back to this tomorrow.~w

I had a date with a six year old last night. We watched Spiderman episodes and the Dark Crystal and ate pizza and played with the cat and played music and talked about who his girlfriend is now (a new one, this one lives in Texas) and ate fortune cookies (his said he loves a challenge, mine said someone wants to hug me). We had such a good time that we're going to have to do it again. At his suggestion i'm going to have to go out with other boys my agish though, because he knows who he's going to marry when he turns 18 and i passed that age and still haven't found anyone yet. He suggested that i ask all the boys i know and if that doesn't work then i should meet more boys. We'll see how that works.~w

It's a misty fall morning and i feel like staying at home and writing or curling up with a good book and some tea. However, the boys are off to the NCTE conference and it's up to me to keep the office functioning. I have (knock on wood) a full cast again and all the arrangements made to run a rehearsal the first week of December, but there are shows to book and paperwork that needs i dotting and t crossing in order for the shows to happen. However, this week it's seeming more like a crazy rollercoaster and less like drudgery. I suppose it's all a matter of perspective.~w

Is it a small world or what? I'm not naming names cuz that's silly. But...I just watched Waking Life after being told by several people that i should see it. They were right. It a very intriguing little walk through philosophy with characters animated by a technique called rotoscoping. It is visually and mentally stunning (although i found it requires being very alert to really listen to it all). I've watched it twice now, but only on second viewing watched the credits. Anyway...i found it odd that a friend of an old friend of mine, who i just found out used to be roommates with someone i just met, was in the film. Sometimes the world seems a very small place. Perhaps the person was right who once told me "there are only about 250 real people in the world, the rest are all props."~w

Some days have a mind of their own, yesterday certainly did. I was under the mistaken impression that i might get some work done, but...

The good news is that it was all good giggly fun energy that was getting in my way. Although...i don't know what the deal was with the power strip turning off everything in my office. Anyway, i heard from a whole passel of old friends yesterday and someone new. Which is good. In fact in was just plain chock full of pleasant surprises all around. Perhaps my computer thought it best that it shut off so i could pay more attention to my ringing phone. I didn't get up in time to see the Leonids, but somehow i'm starry eyed this morning anyway. So, despite the mountain of work that i have waiting for me, there's a bit of a bounce in my step that should help me along.~w

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! This is ye olde official announcement of dining and festivities to commence on Saturday December 7th and Sunday December 8th at 6pm in honor of his royal highness' daughter (or something like that) at the Mountain Rennaisance Adventure Faire's first annual Madrigal Dinner. There will be feasting and poeting and harping and holiday harmonizing and juggling and fire eating and plenty of other antics. And you should go cuz i'll be there.

Beyond that...yesterday was pleasantly restful and i got caught up with myself enough to dive into the fray again at work today.~w

Yesterday was the most splendiforous day off i've had in many months. The trip to the Renn faire last week was great...but this was better. I got to see a long anticipated film that lived up to my hopes, have dinner with good friends while listening to good music, and then spent the rest of the night making music singing with the most amazing pianist i've met in a long long time. I forgot how much i've loved to sing until given the opportunity to just play around and do it. I think i'll have to do that more often.~w
