Packaging is weird. What is really a serving? Annie's Mac & Cheese says it's 2.5 servings for the box. The Palak Paneer made by them is only 1 serving. But, either box works as a meal for me. However, when Casbah Falafel says it makes 2-3 servings for 1 cup, that equates to 2-3 meals for me. (They are all yummy by the way and make great meals). So, while last night's dinner was delicious, it was also lunch today and dinner or something later on...if it lasts. It's not quite as tasty reheated or cold as it was when i first cooked it. I just had no clue that 2-3 servings would cook up to be that much food. Ah, the joys of learning to cook by yourself. Life was so much easier when i just went out to eat all the time. It just got to be too expensive for my budget.~w

It's Friday and the sun has broken through the clouds and i can see light at the end of the tunnel and soon i'll be flying away and leaving the paperwork in the hands of others. Wheee!~w

All work and no play makes for a very grumpy wendi. So, today i'm planning to listen to some poeting in the evening as the infamous Taylor Mali will be appearing in town for one night only. (You know him...i know you do...perhaps just his voice though tagging a Burger King commercial "it just tastes better.") Before that i have paper giants to battle and mountains of boxes to climb and wild actors to tame.~w

Sometimes you just have to take an evening off and talk to real people. Granted i was keeping my friend from hours of online interaction playing Everquest. However, real human interaction is healthy every once in a while.~w

Fur was flying yesterday...or at least paper was as i tore through the office and still didn't manage to get "everything" done. Ah well, i guess i'll have to get to work today as well. There are poems up on the Poetry Alive! website now for all of this year's public domain poems though...for some silly reason i'm really proud of that. The pages are still missing stuff and need some tweeking, but it's getting there.~w

I finally got 8 hours of sleep two nights in a row. I feel invincible today. Okay, maybe not quite invincible, but a whole lot better. I dreamt about traveling to Florida and doing shows with my sister, which is odd since my sister is in vet school. We weren't actually doing shows though, we were playing some game. I won 2 out of three, but she was given the token prize and then we were both fed fancy donuts before we got in the car to drive back. It was a six hour drive and i remember thinking it would be midnight before we got home, but i needed to be at work the next day. Hmm, that might have something to do with the team that took the sick one home making a six hour drive that got them in at midnight so they had enough time to drive yesterday to the town where their show will be today. Another friend of mine went with his girlfriend to Charleston this weekend and played in the ocean (not quite Florida, but close) and i think they had a six hour drive home...or so. I suppose the good news is that i didn't have to drive much of anywhere this weekend.~w

I sent the sick one home yesterday. Today i'm relaxing and doing as much of nothing as possible.~w
