I slept 11 hours, i guess i was tired. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i didn't really even get to the phone calls yesterday because i was busy with the one's coming in. I set up travel for the last of the actors to arrive for training this afternoon and hopefully that will be the only work (except well maybe an hour or two of updates to the website) that i will do this weekend. Reading my book and more sleep are in order. I might try to venture out and be social at some point too. First i need to catch up with myself though.~w

Person in training is doing well. The auditionee was hired and the show went well. In the midst of all that i tried to solve a melt down issue between two performers who are getting rave reviews despite their frustration with each other. Today...i have about 50 phone calls to make, but when the day is done i look forward to getting a whole weekend off!~w

Urg, i overslept. Could have something to do with staying up too late working. Now i'm all discombobulated. I need to get in to the office to start training the new guy. This should be fun.~w

So, later yesterday in an attempt to figure out what the score from the test might mean...i discovered another test, the mensa workout. It's sort of a "practice" test to see if you could pass the real thing. They also point out on their page that each IQ test has it's out scoring system and that a 127 on one test might be 110 or 145 on another test. From what i can tell the emode test is very similar to the mensa workout and probably doesn't mean much except in it's own little world (which is why you have to buy the analysis of your results from them). Anyway, general consensus is that i'm probably smarter than the average bear. My friend says that all it means is that i have a harder time communicating with the rest of the world. Could be.
I've lost one potential office person after a 1-1/2 days of training (he decided that waiting tables was more fun than pushing paper and pays better), and today i am trying out training a new one. Cross your fingers for me and hope this works. ~w

I've been frittering away my time taking an IQ test this morning just for kicks. It says i score 127 and am a "visual mathematician" whatever that means. They want me to buy a report to get the details. Not today thanks. Anyway, i'm off to move mountains (of paper).~w

I did very little yesterday except listen to music and talk to friends on the phone. Okay, maybe i did program my new phone for work, but that didn't take long. I'm going to get a massage this morning to see if i can work the knots out of my neck. Then, guess what...i have to work this afternoon. It's a good ting that i like what i do, because i seem to be doing a lot of it lately. Basically, we have to get 5 teams ready to go out on the road. This year 8 of the 10 people are brand new. That means more time and effort is required to train them. Add to that the fact we lost an office person, and that's a whole different kind of hiring and training that need to get done all at the same time. The thing is, i know the craziness will pass, and more craziness will come along. But, when i spoke to the kids at First Flight Elementary after our shows and workshops this week i was quickly reminded that it's all worth it. I don't think any kind of monetary compensation could replace the joy that our work stirred up this week.~w
