Hi, i'm still alive...

A big Happy Birthday to Sam!! Okay, so i'm a day late...

And today A BIG BIG Happy Birthday to Vera who is spending her birthday taking a road trip with me to the beach. Now the beach in North Carolina is not that far away, but it just so happens that another friend is getting married on Saturday on the beach in Rhode Island, so that's where we're headed. Thank goodness for friends who like to take crazy long road trips.

I may or may not write in from the road. This is suppose to be a vacation after all...~w

Just when we seemed to have it all together...

I spent more time calling actors yesterday. 3 attacks of personal crisis in our actor core have made it very difficult to get a full cast. In the meantime, one of our back-ups dislocated a shoulder and is out for 6-8 weeks. I suppose that whatever happens, the right folks will show up for rehearsal. We just have to find them today since rehearsal starts next week.~w

The last anthology is done, basically. I still have a pair of poets who haven't given me their poems...but they're typing them for me at least. Now it's preparing for my two trips, one a wedding, one for work, and re-memorizing the shows before i join the actors in rehearsal at the end of next week.

Oh...and in the midst of it all i had an ab-fab time with the lovely Sam playing dress up with some of her friends for her birthday. If it's not frozen when my birthday arrives i'll have to consider it....weeeeee!

I think i may be able to enjoy my mini-vacation to the wedding stress-free though. Things are looking up.~w

I'm working through my list of doings. I'm doing pretty well at it as well. 3 anthologies done, 1 to go. A wedding present to wrap, a birthday party, and a presentation to put together still lie in wait as well. When it's all done, what will I do? Two weeks of actor rehearsals...what else? Oh, then will i breathe? Who knows. What i know is that this morning my cat let me sleep in until 10am and it felt nice. I had a lovely time with friends after a long day in front of the computer yesterday. Now...the sun is shining and my lunch is smelling good enough to eat. So, eating it is...and then more work and then play and then more work. You gotta balance these things out just right so that it all becomes a game in a way.~w
