Hmm, looks like yesterday never made it to the page yesterday. But, it should be here now. Confused? Don't worry, the folks at pyra assure us that most of the glitchiness of blogger last week has been resolved.

Today my goals are to try something new, experience something different, and stay true to myself all the while. I've been a hermit for too many days now, it's time to get out into the world again i think. Granted it's working on noon and i haven't set foot outside my door. But i assure you it will happen soon. Okay, okay, i did go see a movie with friends last night, so i broke my hermitage for a bit. We saw The Royal Tenenbaums which i would rate 3.25 out of 4. It's not particularly necessary to see it on a big screen, but i found it to be a bizarre and amusing ride that was worth the trip to the theatre. Actually, i take that back, there is one visual sequence in particular that you might miss when it's shrunk down to video at home. Anyway, it was good fun.~w

It's Friday and i almost have a real weekend, except for needing to drive to South Carolina Sunday to do shows there on Monday. Next week will be wild and wooley with lots of shows and visitors and such. I think i may hide this weekend again in order to conserve my energy. Either that or climb a mountain just for the heck of it.~w

Finally blogger is working at home today. Actually i think the past two days just made it to my web page for the first time. Anyway, here i am poking along late for work cuz i spent too much of my morning lollygagging around and daydreaming. Sometimes you just have to take the time to explore all the forest paths of you mind to see if any of them lead where you want to go.~w

Typing at work again, because my computer at home has the morning grumps. It worked just fine last night, but now it wants to crash. Perhaps it's reacting to my subconscious desire to hide my thoughts and feelings until i do a little organization and cleaning in the attic of my mind. Work and sleep are pretty much the order of the day until i get to the weekend.~w

I'm at work, but my brain is still asleep. Blogger didn't want to work at home today and now i'm completely fresh outta words. Try again tomorrow.~w

After having a whole day completely to myself, i feel like a new person. I finally got the rest both physically and mentally that i needed. Of course, that means that other things like vacuuming didn't get done, but oh well.

We got another light dusting of snow last night, but nothing like the storm the weather report warned about. I guess Asheville just wasn't meant to be a winter wonderland this year. Granted the high today is only expected to be 33F so the dusting is more likely to blow away than melt. As the garbage truck rumbles by i think about how horrible it must be to ride the back of the truck collecting garbage while your nose is flirting with frostbite. Still all winter long there are people who are out there doing it to pay the bills. How lucky am i that my job pays my bills and feeds my soul and doesn't involve standing outside in the cold. Of course, there are the occasional job hazards like trying to drive from Syracuse to Long Island through a thunder snow storm to get there in time for our shows. Still, i don't even have to do that much anymore.

Okay, i suppose i should mosey on into work.~w

Phew! Rehearsals are done. Just in time too. There's a dusting of snowy icy stuff outside today that looks pretty miserable to be out in. I'm taking the day off and staying in. For all my worrying, this weekend has gone rather smooth and restfully. I suppose i was making a big deal out of nothing.~w
