Happy Birthday Patrick!! I don't know if you read this, but if you do, i hope your day is lovely!

We start rehearsals today. That means that even though it's Saturday, i have to work. At least it's fun work though. I'm just trying to get my brain to function this morning...it's not working very well.

Maybe later.~w

So i'm doing some research on the whole navel piercing whim, and i've come up with a question. Does piercing the navel effect the flow of chi? I've been doing this qi gong stuff for a while now and am really enjoying it. Through talking with the teacher i learned that acupuncture is the 3rd level of healing when tai chi and qi gong are unable to solve the problem. He mentioned that puncturing the skin was considered extreme, but i can't seem to find information about how piercing the skin at the navel affects the body. I think the answer to that may either tell me what part of my body needs healing or that my whole idea of getting a navel piercing is a bunch of bologne.

Other than that, it was back to work yesterday and today trying to get on top of the paperwork again before rehearsal starts tomorrow. Yikes! Also, looks like i'll be doing much more traveling this spring than i had planned on. Right now i'm hoping it just doesn't interfere with my Dad's visit to North Carolina. We'll see...~w

Apparently blogger was hacked. Perhaps that's why it took so long to post things the past coupla days. Hmm.

Anyway, i'm home now in Asheville. It's kinda weird, but this actually feels like home now. It always just seemed like a transition point before or something. The cat was very talkative last night. I think she was trying to apologize for knocking down the tree and breaking ornaments while i was gone. It's really quite a mess now that i tried to fix it. It truly is a two person job to move that tree around.

Overall, i'd say my holiday visit was a success. The flights were uneventful and on time and all my luggage got to my destination with me. I got to see a good deal of family and friends though many seemed a bit rushed and hurried. I felt good about the time i spent though. Now it's back to work. We have a new actor arriving tomorrow and i need to help her learn the shows. There's also more paper to shuffle before the new year starts. It's going to be a busy day.~w

To everyone else, Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas or Merry Yule or Happy Kwanza or Happy belated Solstice or Happy belated Hannuka or....fill in the blank.

I'm spending the day with the other side of my family surrounded by presents and food.~w

Christmas eve and Mom and Allen have gone to work. Seems odd. When i was a kid my parents never worked on Christmas eve. I guess things change. I considered running away to the mountains to play in snow with my friends, but opted for the less stressful option of sticking around and baking the promised pie for dinner tonight and being awake and ready to do the tree when the workers make it home. It was tempting though. Of course, seeing as it's been a few years since i strapped wood to my feet and they do it all the time it also saves me the embarrassment of slowing them down. Next time i'll have to plan a trip with them ahead of time on a day when there aren't other obligations to conflict with it. Anyway, i have pie to bake and exercise to unlock my back and all that good stuff to do, so i'd better get busy.~w

I must say the view out this window at my mom's house is stunning. green pastures dotted with horses stretch out to meet evergreens in the foothills of the Cascade moutains and above them all rises Mt. Rainier glittering majestically in the light of the setting sun. Somehow after two days of rain the clouds have cleared and the northwest is trying to dazzle me with it's full splendor.

I awoke late today at my friend Darlene's after a fun afternoon and evening spent with friends. I didn't see everyone, but i did catch up with some of my favorite people in the world. Home in Asheville was on my mind though. I'm finding that it's getting easier to refer to that as my home now that i've actually spent some time there. I also have this strange urge to get my navel pierced. Why? I'm not sure, but it was certainly on my mind this morning and has been nagging at me since. I don't know much about how it affects a person's flow of energy, but it seems like it might help me draw the stress out of my back and shoulders into a spot better suited for handling it. I'm not sure why i think that, it's just something that was nagging me this morning. I'll have to do some research to see what that's all about.~w
