morning in alabama

Yikes! It's been over a month since I posted anything here. I guess I've just been busy with other things. The students came together at the last moment and they did a great job with Wizard of Oz. Brush has been attacked around the house. Poetry Alive! scripts are underway for next season. The piano died and was replaced by a better one. I've been doing a bit of traveling and doing shows for Poetry Alive! I had the pleasure of a visit from an old friend I hadn't seen in four years. And now I'm working on getting myself involved in a summer day camp for kids to keep myself busy all summer long and help pay more bills. Right now, I'm trying to wake myself up in Alabama and get myself ready for performing at an elementary school. Tonight I'll be home again and hopefully able to get a good night's sleep. Last night despite a long day and plenty of activity I found it hard to fall asleep. I think part of it had to do with being in a strange place and also the fact that I tend to get wound up and stressed out when doing computer work these days. It's too beautiful out this time of year to sit staring at a computer screen.~w
