Argh! I know, it's been a while since i last did anything here. Let's just say that i've been a bit busy running around doing shows, seeing shows and such. Tonight it's Chicago again, tomorrow Dubuque, Iowa and then i'll see my house for a couple of days before heading south again. Highlights (or oddities that stand out): Seeing Reese pick up an enormous megaphone and sing through it then later watching Wammo form a circle of admirers while he sang along to Bohemian Rhapsody blaring over the sound system after the show. Sara the 7th grader at Maconaquah Middle School who was both witty and funny to chat with before and after the show even if we only let her "pick up a rock" during the show, and the mohawked Jabberwocky in that same show. Missing the tornado this evening by a few hours that tore up a Walgreens south of here. Visiting my sister if only for dinner last night. Looking at high school photos of Dick Van Dyke and Gene Hackman who went to the high school we visited today in Danville, Illinois. Being serenaded by our waiter this evening and being given "the royal treatment" just because. An oddly interesting conversation with a young truck driver named Chad who stopped in the same highway side restaurant as us as he was making his last Semi-truck trip before switching to a local delivery route. Those are in no particular order, and there are probably others worthy of note missing from the list at the moment, but it's tired and i'm late.~w

Happy Easter! or Eostre. Oddly enough this is one of the few Christian holidays that still maintains it's pagan name. In any case it's all about rebirth and opening up to the world around you. So my Easter present to myself this year is spending time playing and writing music. I've written about three songs this week already (plus lyrics to a tune a friend of mine wrote). So i'm afraid i've been a bit slack getting this website up to speed. However, i find that i work best by doing the things that are working. So, i'm off to make more music. Rest assured that the fruits of that labor will be reflected here soon enough.~w

Well between working on scripts for Poetry Alive! and updating the poems for April for the Poem of the Month i've finally added a couple of things to this site. As many have found, the guestbook is now set up and there's a listing of my upcoming performances. Plus there's a brand new page for my favorite local band (cuz they're cool people and they play cool music) The Firecracker Jazz Band. Right now they're letting me put up pictures AND some cool mp3's from their demo cd. Check it out!
In other news...i attended a festive Fool's Day Parade party last night hosted by Walker of Scrappy Hamilton and got to hear a bunch of brand new songs from that band. I guess Spring is a good time for festivity, the birds are back singing their own style of jazz in my backyard today.~w
